Mission Co Op 2017

St. John Fisher Catholic Church

On November 18 & 19 our second collection will be for the Mission Cooperative (or Co-Op) Program and the recipient, this year, is St. John Fisher Church in West Palm Beach. What is the Mission Co-Op? Every year, the Diocese of Palm Beach welcomes missionary groups from dioceses around the world. These missionaries are invited to speak at the various parishes to educate the people about the life of the Universal Church, and to request support through prayer and financial assistance. Each parish is assigned a different mission.

Fr Mario Castaneda, the pastor of St. John Fisher, will be speaking at all Masses to make an appeal. His parish assists a large Guatemalan population and their need is great. Their offertory collection two weekends ago was just under $6,000.
